Intel nForce MOBOs.  That rocks.

Michael Diamond, director of strategic marketing at Nvidia however said that his company was little surprised that Intel offers its own dual graphics card approach. Nvidia believes that the nForce chipset will keep at lead in performance over the Intel solution. (THG)

Also, both Nvidia and ATI will soon be putting out 512MB video cards.

ATI is also releasing an AGP version of its x850 card.

ATI's X800XL is coming in AGP version next month.  That card is a killer.  Faster than the X800Pro, and at $299.00 list it is significantly cheaper too.

First Dual Core AMD 64 will be 2.4Gz or higher, and expect them soon.

The new ATI X800XL in AGP does interest me, sounds like a killer card! I am still running Win98SE tho, and I keep seeing all the new cards from ATI calling for WinXP. Does anyone know if I can run the new cards in 98SE?

Yeah Kaz, I know, I saw that too. However, I seem to remember reading on their tech support page that while not certified for 98SE because Microsoft no longer supports it, that their new drivers should work. Can't find it now beacuse their tech support site seems to be down. I was just wondering if any of the current 98SE users out there have tried a new ATI card yet.:aok

ATI will release an occasional driver for Windows 98, but they are typically several releases behind the non-98 drivers.

I can see new cards not supporting 98SE initially.  I know everyone is trying desparately to get rid of supporting 98SE.

Skuzzy I believe even Microsoft has stopped supporting Win98 now. Or am I getting confused with 95?

Your are correct Kev.  MS stopped supporting 98 a couple of years ago actually.  The only updates to be found from MS are updates to Internet Explorer.  No OS updates at all.
