I was having a good fight last night with some one near an enemy field. We were about 4 inutes into it when we took the base (did not realize that until latter). So, two heros decide to up and gang, err, help me with the spit which in my eyes is low and slow at that point trying to clime up to me, so I gave him a six and said that I would stay out of it figuring he was dead.
I guess he turned around and killed both of them so a voice come in on range: "man, its people like you that make this game suck". I said, what did I do? The voice said: "you did not kill him and you did not check six me" :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl They were both on the spit's six.
In anycase, I appologize for my behavior. To make it up to you, tonight I will dedicate to diving LANCs on what ever you want me to hit. (I preffer CVs and FHs)

BTW, other than from squadies...I prefer no check 6's, thanks.
(jot that down on yer clipboards). They only seem to come when I'm saddled up on someones 6 and nothing more than a distraction. The very last thing I do before I fire is check 6. Beside's I checked 2 seconds ago. My checking my own 6 comes 30X a minute which is more than anyone could or would ever have time to give me.

Sorry dedalos ,,, we were having a great fight again .. but when they jumped in my only option was to kill them . I was planning to resumne our fight .. but that third one came along ... and well I had to flame that one too ..
Well maybe next time they'll see that you had the advantage and wasnt really in that much danger ... Guess i better bring something that climbs next time
P,s, I really wasnt that slow I was just wiggling my tail to get ya to come down :D
And I know who said that .. he's always pming me when i kill him and calling me names ... Perhaps ill drag him into the DA and teach him some adv merge acm.

Thats the funny part. By the time help arived I had about 2K on you, not a fair fight any more (but they thought it was OK to jump in).
As far as the wing wiggling :rofl I saw it on the first fight and was LMAO. Thats when I new turning with you was not an option.

My favorite, and I heard it again last night, is when you are in a furball, fighting for your life. There are four guys on ya and it looks like a sea of red around you.
All of a sudden you hear "Not one $%*^#()^% Check 6! Thanks a lot! No wonder the always loses!"
Everyone else is fighting for survival, or putting off imminent death as I was, and no one has time to check 6 anyone cause their too busy watching there own, yet somehow the rest of us are the cause of a country losing and this guy dying because we didn't call the bad guy on his 6. Not that he called the 4 on mine :)

I was once in a small fight with 3 guys from the same squad and I against Levi, Honch, Yucca and a couple other dudes.
Great time, really.
...anyway, one of the three squadmates gets nailed. He then starts *****ing me out on vox for not providing him with a c6. The funny part, I was about 4k away from him in a fantastic fight with Honch when he died and at least one of his buddies, if not both, was closer to him. I laughed at him.
That is what makes the game the most fun. The stupid people.

are tards that are chasing a con, sit there, following behind him, and watch him sneak up on you/friendly and no call.
that really pisses me off. talk about ignorance.

This is why when I see a teammate in a 1 on 1 with another plane, I always ask if he would like me to jump in. It really makes no difference to me, but if they don't answer I normally take that as a "yes" and will come in anyway because its usually a little bit of a fight.
I've had a couple great fights spoiled by someone jumping in... the thought is a good one initially, but at the time it was a test of skill and I thought I was holding my own alright.
I'm sorry ren, if you are on rooks, and I see someone on your 6, I'm gonna check ya. You see, I don't have a filter process, and I will forget about your request by the time I play again, if I see someone on ya I will just hit the ' and give it to ya out of courtesy. I know why you are saying this though... I was 400 off of a spit the other night with my finger on the trigger, just as I was ready to fire I got a "check 6 howitzer", and someone screaming about a spit on my 6 and I need to break, so I roll off the one I'm on just to realize the one that I was following was the spit that caused the check 6. My teammate thought he was behind me. :mad: I was just a little irked... but at least I couldn't complain about getting picked :aok

LOL oh yes... this one I get majorly torqued off about. When they follow him on your 6, and you are only alerted to their presence when you see tracers flying by you...and the kicker is that the tracers are coming from your teammates' plane which is following the enemy about to feed you your lunch....

I ignore all check 6's unless its a squaddie on VOX because like Ren I check my own more than most. I am guilty of not sending check 6's when im chasin a badguy because I get target fixation and forget about everything else. Its only after its too late that I realize I should have sent one. Please dont hate me. :)

Yeah, thats why I ignore guys that whine about not getting check 6's, its their job, but I do try to send them whenever I can, problem is like I said, sometimes I forget until its too late.

Ignorance? Nah, I'm just not that great at lead shooting, so having him turn would be undesireable for me. :p

If its yours, you watch it. That's what I tell myself when I get fixated and end up in a flying armored seat with small chunks in the air all around me.
At the same time, 6s are common courtesy. I throw lots around (if not heavily engaged), and hope I'm not being annoying. I go with the old, not very original, "treat other people the way you wish you werre treated" thing.....

Been baited many times. Kill someone...check everything....Only to to find a 109 closing up my tail and 4 gauys chasing him...and not a one has so much as said boo.
I just remember who they are...If possible..and get REAL quiet when they are around and having shall we say company.
Anyone that has flown near me knows I give a ton of em.

I personally do not like getting check 6 calls unless it from a squadie. Way too many people see you within 4k of an enemy plane and assume the guy is attacking you. The next thing you get is a check 6 call. If you really ARE doing something like trying to saddle up on someones 6 the last thing you need to be doing is looking all over for some imaginary guy that flew by you at 3k and is going the other way.
Squadies, on the other hand, fly together and get a feel for how you fly. They also communicate whats goin on so there are no, IMHO, lame check 6 calls.
While its considered nice to try and help someone, sometimes more harm is done if you don't know EXACTLY what that enemy plane is doing. My SA is such that I know what's going on around me. And if I have a lapse in concentration I rely on squadmates. It's that simple.
By the same token, I will readily give check 6 calls to anyone and if I give one the guy is really climbing up your 6 and you better be breaking. Most of you who fly near me have already recieved check 6' s with more than enough time to maneuvor out of harms way.
Everyone has their own opinion when they think they should or shouldnt give check 6's.
I do have a pet peeve that I take out by not giving check 6's. You saddle up on some dude and some countryman who shadows you to the fight is always in trying to steal the fight. You never get a check 6 if an enemy is nearby cause they're tryng to sneak by you. When I ID them I never ever give them a check 6 again. In fact, last night I had a dude whine to me that I didn't give him a check 6. I provided no response but due to his normal actions he will never, ever get a check 6 from me until he begins acting responsible to his fellow countrymen. If he gets mad I just smile. One day he'll begin to understand :).
There's on average 280 enemy planes flying around and then some every night so there's enough to go around.

didnt you know that you are everyone's eyes? shame on you for not showing all your attention to you allies during a hard battle... geeze i hear that all the time.. tell em to "MAP THE HAT SO YOU CAN SEE YOUR BUTT"... especially when there are tons of planes all fighting each other.... geeze... is there anything in this game that hasnt been complained about yet?

what i love about this game is when ur chasin a guy and a friendly is chasin another bad guy coming up on ur 6 and check 6s u when hes already tore ur wing off.

Few things there, Truekill.
The friendly saw you on someone so your concentration was on your fight.
He also saw someone actually getting in on you and again you're concentration is on the kill on front on you.
The friendly actually tried to get in and help.
The friendly could'nt see your wing was already gone at the time he checked 6 you.
My concerns are the check 6's are handed out so haphazardly that they no longer have any value and become more of a hindrance than a help.
If 2 guys throw check 6's at you are you not obligated to have a look around for your own safety? And when you look around and see nothing do you have make yet another sweep with your eyes because the guys throwing check 6's couldn't be wrong, could they?
So lets set up a scenario. You got into a dogfight and finally got the advantage over some guy that is equally matched to you. Just as you begin to get a bead on him you get checks 6's from a couple of guys who only see you and the bad guy frm 3k away. They have absolutely no idea who's got the advantage nor do they even know who's behind the other at that distance. Yet they see you and some guy flying around so being nice and all, they hit you with a check 6. So now you've just gotten the advantage and get the check 6. What will you do? Check and make sure you're not gonna die because you're so focused on the fight? So you look around. Nothing there. You have to check again. Nothing there. Hmmm. that can't be right!
You got 2 check 6's! Where's the guy thats coming in on you? Ah, there was noone in on you its the guy thats in front of you.Wait. Now where'd he go?
Now he's getting an advantage on you because you got distracted looking for imaginary bad guys in on you. What was the value of those check 6's?
None!
As I mentioned before, if you flying with your squadies they are along and can see whats going on wih your fight and know instantly if a new threat is actually in on you.
IMHO, an incorrect check 6 is as bad as no check 6 at all. After years of flying I prefer to use my own SA over incorrectly given check 6's and thats why I don't want them.

I know when I first started playing I would send inadvertent check sixes because the zoom key and the check six key are close together. Or I would cycle through several and pause on the wrong one and away it would go. I have since learned that you only have two seconds or it's too late.
Another thing is you have lost VOX and don't know it.
Another one is somebody complaining about not getting a check six and all you can see is a mass of red and green going every which way. Does he think he is the only thing that anybody is watching?
