Title: Raiders offense gets even better...

Defense is still for ****!

I don't know about the contract, but I do really like Jordan. If Curtis Martin had bothered to get old, Jordan would have been putting up some good numbers over the past few seasons. As a Charger Fan, I can't say I approve of this at all.

I thought that backup RB from KC was up on the block, too?

Jordan's biggest problem was that he wasn't utilized in NY like he should've been.  NYJ never really did a tandem RB thing like the Bucs did with Dunn/Alstott and then Pittman/Alstott.

Has Travis Henry been signed by anybody?  I think Miami was in talks with him at some point.

Anything that makes Charger fans unhappy is a good thing, IMHO.

I'll reserve judgement until I see some results, but yeah, he's always impressed me in person, and yeah, he's a step up from the current Raider halfbacks.

Dallas picked up Bledsoe. If the OL is propped up a bit he might...oh who am I kidding.

Bledsoe vs. Kerry Collins:  who can make the most turnovers next year?

There are 2 reasons why Oakland will still suck this year:

Norv and Turner

Al Davis picks up big egos every time he gets a chance so he's as much to blame for the sorry state of the Faders as anyone.

The Faders are a bunch of players playing together, they aren't a team.

They will suck next season and the one after that and the one after the next and well I think you get the point.

You know what's interesting? The Jets let Jordan go and then turn around and sign Derrick Blaylock who backed up Holmes in Kansas City.

This is from the NYJ propaganda machine:

Quote
Blaylock, a 5-9, 205-pound running back out of Stephen F. Austin, signed with the Jets after a four-year stint with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was selected in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Chiefs and spent the next three seasons as part of a running back group that included Priest Holmes. Blaylock, a veteran of 40 NFL games, started five times last season in place of the injured Holmes. Given an opportunity, he ran for 539 yards and eight touchdowns including a four TD performance against Atlanta in October. For his career, Blaylock has run for 723 yards on 156 carries and ammased 10 rushing touchdowns. He is also a threat out of the backfield as evidenced by his 45 career receptions for 474 yards and two touchdowns. Blaylock has 28 career special teams tackles.

If I recall, Jordan was the full-back style runner who did mostly blocking and ran over defenders on short-yardage situations.  Blaylock is a tail-back type runner who scoots and skats around defenders.  I wouldn't be surprised if Blaylock spends half his carries in the slot or as a 4th wide out.

Jordan signed for over $5million a year, Blaylock=2

Jordan is bad at blocking.
