Nice photoshop, but I'd say the grain (or lack of) gives them away.

Ok, well you can go as far as you want authenticity wise, clothing boots, and hell if you want to be a commie bastard you can, but none of us are...

We use blanks, no lead wood or nothing just the brass and blackpowder, and yes occasionaly someone will get a chip of brass in his arm or something, thats why we don't aim at eachother at all..

Alot of the guys are EMT's RN's and there is a doc too, he's got lots of pain meds.. :D ;)

No live ammo, only at the range..

If I wanted to fool yall and say that they were real WWII photos, umm I think I would of known enough to leave a few of these out..

These are reenactment photos, they arn't suppose to look 100% authentic, cause damnit, we have palmetos down here, but the germans lovem, I lovem now too, got to ambush a Kubul...

How can you claim that this is close to authentic if you cant use live ammo?

Yeah or real zyklon-b for the camp re-enactments. How sucky is that.

There are always suckers wanting to take 'a shower' after running in the forest in WW2 gear.

Depends on how much pyrotechnics there are..

And it costs more for us to reenact then it is for you to watch...

$5-$10...

And for us reenactors of WWII it can be up to $20.00 for insurance..

We were in some wooded area, about 3-4 acres on a gun range, and yeah it gets scary when your moving around near the burms where the pistol fire is caught.. haha...

One of my guys at work is deep into WW2 reenacting.  Some
of these guys are out of control, I have some pictures of Hetzer
tank destroyers and Hanomag halftracks.

I'll see if I can scan some of these and post em.

My father once got nearly killed by English Civil war reenactors. I think I was about ten at the time. We went to see some battle reenacted and ( bear in mind that back in the 70's the health and safety gang hadn't ruined everything back then ) we were sitting very close to the action. A big box of explosive went off to simulate a cannon ball or something and a bloody great piece of wood came flying down and belted him across the back. If we hadn't all yelled "duck dad" it would've hit him on the head.
It was wierd  seeing my dad sitting in the first aid tent with a load of blokes dressed up like rounheads and cavaliers with broken wrists arms and stuff. Guess he bacame a casualty of war that day.

Exiting stuff for a ten year old.

Reenactments back then seemed almost as dangerous as the real thing.

knock yourself out. i don't think it gets used anymore.. haven't heard about any shows there in quite some time..

and when we're done.. we can overrun reliant stadium (or astroworld!) since they all share the same parking lot :)

I can see it now, busloads of AH "re-enactors", dressed out like the wehrmacht, standing in line for the Cyclone & arguing about who gets to ride in the front.

At the moment I am playing Softair, I have to find the photos taken during a "Softair teams - Reenactors" meeting near Cassino, in the same places of the famous battle.

We had to fight against the Waffen SS :)

Here, part of my squad (I am the first on the left).

Maybe it's a stupid game, but it's funny, just alike pretending to be a fighter pilot in front of a monitor. ;)
