Title: AH II Aircraft Comparison?
Post by: SkyWolf on March 06, 2005, 09:16:40 PM
Greetings,

Is there anyplace where I can find an aircraft comparison as it relates to AHII? Something with strengths, weaknesses, relative performance info... and dumbed down enough for the dufus?

Quote

Test conditions

Subject: Fighter,  Fighter/Bomber  (Bombers are excluded)
Altitude: 500ft +/- 100ft
Speed: tested upto the tightest possible turn speed (this test uses Stall Limiters, to minimize human errors)
Fuel: 25%
Armament: internal guns only, external guns(gondola pods) are not used
Method: Sustained speed after take-off. All planes are turned for three full circles and their time is measured in seconds.

* This test does not indicate any of these plane's maximum turn rate. This is because turning at the tightest circle possible does not mean that particular plane is turning at its maximum efficiency. Also, in real combat the results may differ according to fuel or ammo loads. Also, the test might contain certain margin of errors, despite repeated testings.

All of the above tests are based on AH1, but its still the best objective comparison for AH aircraft I've seen on the net.
