... in a B17 piloted by another person? If yes - how do I do it?

Type the following:
.join <person>
Where <person> is the handle of the pilot of the unit.
Remember the period in front of "join".
They then will be prompted to accept or reject you.
BTW, you can do this with any unit, but if it doesn't have gunner positions you'll just be along for the ride as an observer.

Also worth noting is that it's good form to ask the person you want to join before sending the request. Few things are more annoying than an unsolicited join request popping up in the middle of your screen while you're flying! :)

You know you can turn that off, too, SOB.
(but I'm too lazy to ever remember to do it in-game too)

Thanx for the reply(s), I will try it out to night....

Ditto! :D

...ya just have to ask around Mark. Just ask on country channel if anyone needs a gunner. If anyone responds (except for Vulcan), join 'em! :)
