Just went to training arena to figure out how to do this. Well first thing I noticed is that if you have pedals a.s.d. dont work. So had to come up with away to do this takeoff with out pedals. Heres what I found use the right brake key and tap it as speed comes up and you will get to point you are holding it down, shortly there after you will have speed to take off and use ailerons to fly by. and the a.s.d. keys for rudders. Shift-X before throttling up will work too. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Take off to the store and buy some rudder pedals! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

haha,
It lists CH Pedals regular price at $79. I bought mine 3 years ago in one of the most expansive stors in Manhatten for their "sale" price.
In any case, I would suggest getting CH Pro Rudders (right name?) or TM's rudders. CH Pedals are positioned way too close to each other and I found it to be very uncomfortable
Hope this helps...

Kieren dont work in the hog tried that, that was what I was going to show a new guy. X wouldnt hold it and shift X didnt hold it striaght. Didnt know till today I couldnt use a.s.d. for pedals. Was going to disconect them to practice take off, but found this method first.

Another thing to try would be J-L key and see if that works.Just apply power slower.

MX22, the price is $37.94 on that page. I agree they are too close together, but they are a great bargain.
I think flying AH without a seperate throttle is OK but to fly without rudders is foolish. Just skip a month of flying and buy the damn pedals. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Nope, the F4U will not allow the Shift-X takeoff. Will have to use a more stable plane, I guess!

Shft-X auto take offs are high on HT's priority list I believe, we should see this soon.
