Um, a top secrete alien space craft sattelite?
-
A B-17 crewmember showing how the French/German resistance planted dud 20mm ammo in the Luftwaffe, and the subsequent rounds were found intact in B-17s.
-
that looks bigger than 20mm to me...i guess CO2 charge for wing tanks
-
thats not a b17 access panel I have ever seen. My guess is it is something more modern that the 17, possibly the 29.
-
Bless the men and women who risked there lives makeing sure those 20mm /30mm+ would not function correctly, they helped save alot of airmens lives.

I dont think a B29 would want that anywhere near it because I think it's a 40mm HO-301 rocket gun cartrige as fited to a KI-44..

Ho-301, it is:)
Ki-44, it is:)

The image shows the compleat round, note below how the propellent is contained in the base of the shell, from what I understand these were Extreamly hard to hit with, one neaded be extreamly colose to the target to acheave a hit, one source quotes 100 yards or less to be considered best for a reasionable chance.
