I've had maybe two in the last six months. Use pingplotter, problem is between the game and you, or..your box

Yeah, the last few weeks I've been getting a ridiculous amount of discos. My ratio of discos-deaths is almost 1:2 lol :p However, I put most of the blame on winXP SP2. I was disco'd more than I should have been before I formatted and put on SP2, but it went nuts afterwards.

Try re-routing the flux-capcitor over the irb side of your master serial bus.

All ISP's are NOT created equal.

If your having problems, dig into it, get the facts, then talk to skuzzy. He can help, but you have to do your homework first.

There are several free options out there for taking a look at your connect to HTC.

PingPlotter & Visual Route are just a couple.

Whoa, Whoaa don't do that!!!!   Then you'll find yourself going through time in  a Dolorean and hanging out with Jim from Taxi.  Not that there is anything wrong with that. LOL

It's on your end. Try and find out why, other than posting AH is at fault.

Check your modem.
I know Im getting alot of discos lately because my cable modem is "outdated" or so the tech guy says that came out to the house and there is no firmware for it.

Whats happening to me is my modem randomly resets itself. some days/nights its worse then others but still a PIA reguardless.

I originally questioned if it was really my modem or not but then I've recently done some work in my area and thus the same Cable ISP for two other people that have the exact same modem as I do and they seem to be having the exact same problems.

Funny thing is when I asked one homowner if she was having problems she said "only occasionally when the weathers bad"
but in the tree days I was there I saw it reset itself at least as many times. Soo I asked their teenage daughter if she noticed any problem.
She concurred with what I have been experiancing.

LOL if any of you are Service folks for an ISP. Dont ask the parents. Ask the kids.
They know when something is wrong cause they use it probably 1,000 times more then their parents.

Also if you disco. look at your modem lights and see if its resetting itself.

May be time for an upgrade
I'll be doing mine in the next day or two
Ask the kids

Yeah, and what are they going to charge you to fix it?

Wouldn't surprise me if this was engineered to happen.

I sent 120 complaint letters to my cablemodem provider when I used to play AH and used a cablemodem.

Same company and adsl - no probs whatsoever.

Something interesting here...

I have 15 disco's this tour.  1 in fighters 14 in bombers.  I have flown 11 hours in fighters and 31 in bombers.

Panman has 67 discos!!!  3 in fighters and 64 in bombers.  He has flown 19 hours in fighters and 17 hours in bombers

Gwjr2 and wetrat...I don't know what your names are in game and could not look up stats.  Please post and let us know if you have similar results.

Is this a new Bomber bug?  I have been wondering about my DSL modem...it is 2 1/2 years old and heavily used...curse you Hitech:lol

Anyway gang please post more stats here.  BTW I fly B-17's about 90 percent of the time, lancs 9 percent and the Japanese bomber KI whatever about 1 percent.

They arent. I need a new one.

I bought mine about 4 years ago  so its my problem.

Yea yea I know to rent one from the cable co is only like $3 a month.

But there is this source of contention my wife and I have over the cable bill as it is now I dont need to hear about the bill being higher by any amount.
Plus I agree they already get too much of my money as it is.

so I'll just buy my own again and if it lasts another 4 years I will have actually saved money over having to rent one from the cable co.

Try to Check out Local Routers in your Area. You can do this at http://www.internettrafficreport.com  Then click counrty and it will give you a list of routers. I live in New York there are 3 routers. If 1 was down now 2 are doing the work as 3. I'll run Png plotter and see when its going then Ck out this sight. G-Luck

I had a few last week...four or five times in a row, so I logged and figured Id try again the next day.  Just for sure measure, I did a hard boot (ala unplugged...) the cable modem and my router.  Since then, no drops.  Just for good measure, I've been doing this every couple days.
