Gp's would be great, though there wouldn't be any use for it today in Aces High. We can't do any SAR's yet (nor do we ever get them Im afraid)

But they would be great for having races or something :)

Roflol on that Hazard-car :lol

You could drive up, jump out, and pistol the guy hiding in the map rooms popping goons.

If I'm not mistaken (and I could well be), back when AH was beta, there was a drivable Jeep with a single 50 mounted in the back. I spent 15 mins racing across the ground then turning violently to tumble a few times, explode, rinse repeat. Man, that's been a looooong time ago. I'm pretty sure it was an AH beta, but it was definitely in a ww2 sim demo of some sort.

Even though it would be mostly useless, maybe it could carry a few supplies, or an attached gunner could bail out (jump off?) and go beat the crap out of the guy hiding in the map room.

I vote 'yes'

Make it a multi task vehicle.  It could bring all sorts of supplies and it could also be used for arti crews.  It could either tow a trailer full of supplies or a nice big gun.  There could be 3 views with the arti option (driving, mounted gun or the arti gun).  It could also be used a small fast troop transport.

*nostalgia* Driving a tank, Truck, or Jeep 3 sectors at 30mph across land and across atleast 1 bridge to attack Bz in AW.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't in Aces High...
Maybe you mean Battlefield 1942?

We need a Willys Jeep...  SAS Style.

The SAS did not get their reputation as the best for nothing ;)

Quote
The jeeps were heavily armed with combinations of both Browning and Vickers K machine guns. The ex-aircraft Vickers weapons were generally mounted in pairs and a total of up to five machine guns were carried on some vehicles. The effectiveness of this armament firing a mix of ball, armour-piercing and tracer shells can be judged from one assault on an airfield where 12 aircraft were destroyed in a five minute raid. With all guns blazing a single SAS jeep could deliver an impressive 5000 rounds per minute! The net result was that over 400 aircraft had been destroyed on the ground by November 1942. Stirling was finally captured in 1943 but escaped four times before being sent to Colditz where he spent the rest of the war.
.....

Their first successful raid soon followed on 17th November 1941, when two groups destroyed 61 aircraft at two airfields. Another raid was launched soon after; this time twenty seven were destroyed. By July 1942 the regiment had 15 specially modified jeeps in action in North Africa.

frank, i'm pretty sure it wasn't battlefield 42, this would have been about 5 years ago. I think it wasn't long after I played AW, but well before I started in AH1. AFAIK, it wasn't even available online, I'd found the demo somewhere. Maybe I'll drag out the old 466 and see if its still on the hard drive.

Cool pics Furball, that's a helluva lotta armament for a jeep.
Hey, its an all terrain Deathstar!

Consider this...

When this thread was created, there were roughly 378,066,535 fewer people on planet earth.  (give or take a few :) )

There are currently 308,400,000 (again, + or - a couple) people in the US.

Funky.

WTG Todd !!! bumping a 5 year old thread for a bad joke !

oh and IN !

well it is like this

if someone starts a thread about a subject that someone has already started a thread about, someone cries about another thread being started and that the thread starter should have used the search feature.

now when said person does use the search feature and doesn't start another thread on the same subject people  :cry

so what is it gonna be????? :D :headscratch:

Here is an idea Todd...use the search function to find the pertinent thread(s)...then if it's been more than a year since anything has been posted on that thread, create a new thread and mention the fact that you did use the search function and paste the hyperlink to the thread in your new post...at least then no one can accuse you of not using the search function or necro bumping a very old thread...

Then again, necro bumping this thread was totally useless for anything but entertainment...

IN before the lock.
