If you've been waiting for the perfect combination of power and user friendliness to write music, check out Sibelius 3. Amazing software by two Brits, the Finn twins, graduates of Oxford and Cambridge.
Get it? Finn. So they call their masterpiece Sibelius.
Excellent manual too. Pricey like many good things, but worth it.

That's good stuff too. Is it also made by Brits? (Awaiting comments from our many Finnish Aces.)

LOL, actually 80% of the Finlandia Vodka Worldwide Ltd. is owned by an American company (Brown-Forman), but Finnish Altia Oyj has the exclusive production rights until 2017 (and Altia Oyj also holds the rest 20% of the stock).

Sibelius sucks.
The software.. not the composer.
-
Well the composer might suck pretty hard also considering he's been rotting underground for years.
-
okay .. but his music doesnt :D
-
Leitwolf, surely you jest? Sibelius gets rave reviews. I've tried several competitors and to me Sibelius is tops.
Do you write music? What software do you prefer?
