I'm guessing it's the amidships turret on the New York, or the Texas.
[edit] the cannon that's firing is actually one of the aft turrets.

I don't know what ship it is, but that's one hell of a good shot!
It almost looks like it's ripped from a high-speed camera or something!
The photographer must've been very lucky taking a shot like this one, thanks for posting Brady!

Either the USS Colorado or USS Maryland sometime between mid 1942 and oct 1944. The cage main mast was cut down on both ships to clear firing archs for a-a guns. The Maryland had a stump mast replace the cut down cage in mid 43, the Colorado didn't have the cut down cage mast replaced till oct 1944.

It's the Colorado, circa late 1943, early '44.
