FYI the caption on the "F14flyby" pic is wrong.
It is a real picture. The ship is the USS America, and the picture was taken during a dependents day cruise (and airwing airshow) during the summer of 1989. The pilot of the F-14 wasn't grounded, in fact he was the skipper of VF-33 at the time. He later when on to make Captain, and is now a regular on the airshow circuit flying either an F4U or F-86. His name is Dale "Snort" Snograss, and I have had the priviledge of serving under him while I was in.
