For a perk cost of 5 per bomber, the player gets to launch @ 10,000 ft MSL and at a cruise speed of 150 ias.
The base should be not under attack, i.e. not blinking. A further limitation could be to restrict this to Zone bases only.
The perk points would be returned upon a successful landing.
This will address the "Time to Fun" factor that is lacking for Buff pilots. GV's have the forward spawn points, Fighters/Jabos have the close base ranges.
Currently, if you want to have fun quickly in a bomber, you have to keep it on the deck.
Assigning a perk cost would also help limit the kamikazee buffs.
The 5 perks for a single and 15 for a formation is seems right to me, but could be raised of course.
All buff pilots would love this.

I can't imagine anything worse. Once you got close to capturing a zone base, you'd suddenly have to worry about masses of bombers spawning behind you, diving frantically to annihilate your base. Bombing is already incredibly easy, and increasingly gamey with all the NOE suicide runs; this would have zero positve effect on gameplay.

what i think sould be done is only fighters ans light bombers on the front line bases. Med. bombers one base base,and heavy bombers put two bases back. so the divebombing from 300ft lancs can get some alt. and try that little thing call "level bombing" you know with that little bombsite thingy.
[edit] i love bombing the whole thing about uping 100miles base climbing to 30K and lazer bombign the hagers is fun,but id rather spend my perks on 234s

You mean Lanc's aren't dive bombers? Boy is my face red! I suppose next you'll say you don't have to guide your bombs all the way to target!
