Title: Sidewinder Joystick with WinXP
Post by: Spitter on March 22, 2005, 09:14:00 PM
Hey guys....I finally got a new system, maybe my old squadron will let me back in....if I can get my Sidewinder to work with WinXP.

There is no driver that I can find, and the software it came with long ago is only Win95/98.

So how do I get this damn thing installed with XP?? Is the only way to go get a USB adapter I've heard about?  Or does anyone know of a new driver out there somewhere?

Cheers,
Spitter

there are no drivers needed they are included in XP for your stick, I think you will need the USB plug/adaptor to make it work.

I have a FF2 USB works fine with XP pro.

I have Win Xp And am using A sidewinder, however, I have it connected via analog input on a crappy Creative Labs Live card.  No drivers needed.  Win Xp should detect it
