they are testing similar (albiet larger) arrays of mirrors in this fashion out at an energy plant by ASU in phoenix.  

speaking of alternative energy, judging by the output that this guy is getting, i wouldnt be too hard to adapt a homemade model into an energy conversion unit to power objects in your home.

hmmmm.
