Post by: storch on March 28, 2005, 02:45:18 PM: Yes it exists though it has been pretty much cast aside since AHII. if anyone is interested in seeing an improvement in CT gameplay and CT proceedures I strongly urge you to apply for admittance. here's your chance to enter into productive dialog dedicated to the improvement of this arena.

Then when i finally subscrived a little over a month ago i was dissapointed in the low numbers in the room! If you ever need another person, just let me know, and ill be there!

you can do historical fighter matchups, or melee (if you want)like spit1 vs 109e, ki-84 v p-38L, 205/109F v spit5/p-40E, ect

btw make maps size no bigger than 128x128

Actually, we've done this, and it worked fairly well. I remember Fork's (I think) P-38 v. Nik setup, and another with Spit 9 v. ....er....I think it was also Nik. Worked very well, I thought.

Maps are still on a sketchy basis; AH2 threw out all the nice old ones, and cartographers appear to be waiting for the new map-making devices to be implemented. We work with what we have.

Post by: Grits on March 31, 2005, 08:43:06 AM: I like it when we do that. Usually when we have a highlighted matchup though, IE one allied and one axis plane purposely selected for their good matchup, people beotch because there are not enough choices.

People go where the fight is. With a larger map, you have more options over where to start the fight.

Post by: Reschke on March 31, 2005, 11:53:24 AM: We have even done some interesting things with the CT Dev Group before it was truly formed and it got porked a little because of various reasons. One was I was not on the staff at the time and had to bend to the wishes of the staffer running the setup.

If I had it to do all over again I would do it but would do it my way with no base capture and strictly using the aircraft that were available and no subs like the bombers that were stuck in it.

I say bring back the Soccer War! :D

Greetings to those of you I have met, and warm salutations to those of you whoom I have not. My name is DaddyAck and am an avid WWII military efficinado and aviation enthousiast, and while being relatively new to the Aces High world I am intently interested in the well being and continuance of the Combat Theatre Arena ans an alternative to the quasi realistic enviroment in the Main Arena. I would like to be given a chance to prove my worth to your group, and to help expand this all too often over looked aspect of Aces High game play. Please gentlemen, consider my request.

As Oldman can probably tell you, or oboe for that matter I can get into the history stuff pretty well.

Oldman probably know's me better from my +Tiff days in AW and on the NG we both hang out in.

And it would be fun to find a reason to get back into the CT stuff.

Might be a good reason to bring the 80th Headhunters in, all three of us :)
