I think so, balancing yourself on the balls of your feet as you ride a 1,200 pound animal capable of achieving sustained speeds exceeding 45 miles per hour, for distances averaging a 1.25 miles.
This guy risked death, and failed.

All sports can be dangerous, theres no doubt in my mind that horse racing isn't a dangerous sport.
-
have you ever ridden a horse?
-
I grew up on a farm, and we had lots of horses. Horses are just dumb, panicky animals that will hurt you without even realizing. They'll eat themselves to death if given the chance.
That said, you don't have to worry about carrying enough gas to make it front point a to point b, but... My ride has a name, and it's Suzuki.
(My horse died 5 years ago this month)
-
I won't deny that horse racing is dangerous. But most dangerous? It's not even in the running.

not even close enough to sniff the leaders farts from downwind...
-
OMG somone died from it....BAN IT NOW!
GET the Congress involved to help regulate it. Listen to what the PETA tards are saying that this is animal abuse!
-
The sport with the most fatalities is cave diving and wreck diving.
-
you want most dangerous?
irish hurling.
its pretty far up there.. saw it live in ireland years ago and i remember thinking that it was the most brutal thing i'd ever seen.
im sure there are worse, but hurling is definitely up there
-
I heard motocross caused the most injuries, don't quote me tho
-
Base jumping is quite dangerous..
-
you can brake your neck at different sports, backhorse riding is just one sport.
If you like the sport, do it, if you are scared to death, better try a different
sport like Chess.
-
Rugby.
Worst for spinal injuries.
-
Actualy the numbers are sort of surprising.

relax dude, you'll give yourself a nosebleed :)
And the PETA people think everything is animal abuse, but they wear leather shoes and wool sweaters, just like the rest of us...
Chair, you're right, they are panicky animals, I wouldn't call them dumb in the traditional sense...but since there are 35 severe accidents a week, seems it's a pretty hazardous sport...
it's much easier to control a motorcycle, or keep your own balance on skates or skis, that to control a freakishly strong, nervous animal with a mind of its own...

That's the Grand National. It's pretty dangerous. Particularly dangerous to have a bet in :D It's on in a couple of weeks. A classic race.
-
I was at the Calgary Stampede a few years back, the chuck wagon races were, in 2 words....complete mayhem!!!
-
Jeez, to die at 16, from a horse accident..
:(
Thats like saying good-bye to me you guys...
Don't worry, no need to rush the congratulatory cards to my parents yet, I'm not dead..

Season's just opened. I'm planning on the 300 int. hurdles, 4x400m, 4x100m, and (ugh) 110 high hurdles as my 4 events. I'd also like to run the 800, because I'd like to try a race with strategy.

St Patty's:rofl
Is that what they call it over there?
Scratches head!
I'm pretty sure here its called St Paddy's.
Oh Jackal by the way a push up Bra convention sounds kind of fun! Whasamatter with you don't you like T*ts?
