Run the Direct X diagnostic utility. Save the report at the end. Send it to Skuzzy.
-
Make sure you are running at least DirectX 9 or better.
Make sure you have the latest video drivers for your video card.
If you recently upgraded your OS or video card, both of these may apply.
Hope this helps, ( and what Star said too, I would do).
cheers,
RTR

Well guys...I reinstalled Direct-X 9 but no deals...Just that the white figures started to be..Gray.It says also the drivers don't got new update....Anyway where is located the Direct X folder so i find the error thingy?
-
Go to Start -> Run and type dxdiag
Run the tests under the video and sound tab especially, but be looking anywhere for any errors. The last tab has an option to save a report. It will save in a .txt file. Save it to your desktop (or somewhere you can find it easily) and then copy/paste it into an email to
support@hitechcreations.com
When Skuzzy gets it he will look it over and email you back with what he sees as problems. Or if you dont want to wait for the Skuzzmeister you can copy/paste about the first 1/3 of it here on the BBS and let us carve it up for you. All the info on hardware and drivers is necessary.
I'm betting on the wrong video driver personally, but I have no idea what hardware you have, what drivers you are using, etc.
-
Either wrong driver, or it is an SiS/Intel/S3 video chip.

Hey Skuzzy, I can run AHII on my laptop (albeit with FR's in the high 20's low 30's only), and it only has a sis650 graphics controller.
Intell P4 2.6Ghz
512 MB
sis650 (set to 64MB).
Runs poorly, but it do run :)

Just shows you, miracles do happen. :)
-
-mumble-I wonder how come it runned earlier O_O.I didin't make any changes...Besides 128Mb more of memory :(
-
Also i runned Direct X diagnostic and on display the 3Dtests were good...And the chip type is SiS 730.Anyway i'm getting more money to get a Radeon 128Mb.Oh and also it says it got total memory of the display device 16.00Mb....That explains why Age of Mythology only can be playied at low detail >_>

If u can go into your bios and up the memory alocated to video to 32megs or more, do it. Game requires 32 meg or more video memory. What happened possibly when U upgraded the ram, your bios reset the video memory to default and may need to be reset to what u need which is at least 32 megs.
-
Well...I have a question:Where are the bios...
-
During boot up, u should have your screen flash with either a picture or a whole bunch of words on it. When U see these U have to hit a key to enter it. These keys can be delete, f12, f10, f4, f2, f1 and esc key (at least that I have come across so far). If U have a book on your computer I sugest U read it first before U enter the bios! Read section on Bios in the book.
-
Almost every computer I've had in the last 7-8 years uses the Delete key to enter BIOS setup. F5 enters safe mode, F8 does various things depending on the manufacturer. I've seen F1 used for BIOS setup, but not recently.
-
HP's use f10 and f12 to enter bios
Dell use's f2 and f12
Gateway uses delete and f10
Most others use delete like asus for example.
-
That would explain it, as I make it a point not to own any of those :)
Thanks for the info! Never know when it'll come in handy.
