Does everyone have to recal their Saitek EVO everytime they play or is it just me?
-
Talon, I recal my evo in game everytime I log in.
Mostly because of habit from my bad experience with logitech crap. (my previous stick was a wingman)
I have noticed though, that if I don't it will occasinally lose calibration. However, by calibrating it each time I log in it has given me pretty good service for a year now.
So , I guess the answer to your question is yes.
Cheers,
RTR

I have a Saitek Cyborg Evo. I usually have to calibrate each time I log into the game.
Theres times I wont and jump into a manned ack and with no inputs from me the gun will rotate all on its own. If I calibrate the JS the rotation will stop.
Same goes for GV's. The osti or pnzr will spin in circles.
Upping a plane the plane will roll off of the runway if Auto Takeoff is selected.
There has been times that I have not calibrated and just jumped into a plane and did this:
BAse was getting hit. I took off and noticed my calibration was off. I used alot of rudder to compensate to get off of the runway and then started to slowly twist my stick and back and forth. The slip indicator was going back and forth like it should. Then, I would rotate the JS like I was calibrating it and the game would remember my settings and everything would be good to go.
Maybe the game has a setting that remembers your JS calibrations if it were to go out of calibration? It works on my sytem. Try it and see if it works on yours.

Yes, I just recal each time.
I usually take off and quickly do the recal....once you get into the recal mode, the stick locks, so you can roll out and cal at the same time.
I haven't tried moving my JS from gimbal lock to gimbal lock instead of calibrating. I will try that next time.

I have three joysticks (One being the Evo) and I have to recal them all everytime I go into AH. Kinda wonder why it does that..isnt there a AH2 save file for calibration?

It has nothing to do with the .cfg file in your AH files. Its totally a materials/workmanship issue.

whats weird is i had a evo and i had to recal all the time , i figured this out , IF you move all the axis's BEFORE you start AH , it works just fine. If you dont you have to recalabrate hehe Weird huh
