Title: game freezing?

have had game freeze up on me when tryin to bring up clipboard map on several occasions.  typically it freezes for about 30 seconds then it "catches up" and everything ok after that.  tonight, same thing happened, game froze, waited for to come back then tried to type something and it immediately froze up again.  except this time it didnt come back, tried to windows key out, nothing, alt+f4, nothing, ctrl+alt+del, nothing?  i had to reboot puter with power button to get out.  any ideas?

Sounds like something it hosing up the network connection.  Worse than packet loss is when Windows cannot talk to the network.  It is usually what causes those 'freezes' you are seeing.

what could cause hosed up network connect?  im puter illiterate:(   but i can look for something specific.  thanks skuzzy for response.  and im assuming by network connect you mean my DSL?
