Even though I find it funny how you immediately jumped me for my comments but said nothing about Funked and his I'll still take it down out of respect for those who died. Wonder how many more like you would or did look right over Funkeds comments. Guess it's different when it touches close to home huh?

Not that i am really bothered, just seems suprising that when an American posts about American FF incidents, you get all into a hissy fit at the british.

It's not cool to joke about this crap. If it offends you when it's about your countrymen then it should do the same when it's someone elses. War isn't fun in games and neither is accidental deaths due to friendly fire.

I'm sure if I had used another country as an example someone else would have stepped up too. It's cool though to make jokes at the expense of the Canadians or Brits that died during those incidents and at the expense of the people who now have to live with it for the rest of their lives. I guess because my statement was a little more blatant it got Furballs attention.

What amazes me is he said Funkeds comment was tongue in cheek. Does it really matter whether it's tongue and cheek or blatant? Someone still died in the FF incident either way and someones living with that mistake for the rest of their lives.

btw when there are 100,000 of thousands of guys/gals running around with guns,bombs,missles,artillery,warplanes from anywhere from 5ft away on a dark sandy night or from 35k accidents are gonna happen. Hell i almost had my right foot blown off by a 12ga courtesy of my duck hunting buddy and a piece of barbwire..friendly fire isnt intentional....we still hunt every year together....of course i walk behind him now...LOL.

And Funked insulted not only the British but the Canadians in one sentence. It wasn't Americans that died so why should it "hurt" me? Maybe because this isn't about "Americans" or "British". It's about soldiers who died when they shouldn't have. Maybe it'd be a different story if we put one of your soldiers on a slab then made jokes about it.

As far as the rest of it, I understood both the initial cheap
shot about US/UK blue on blue and Cobra's reaction to it. I
stand by what I said, the thread did get amazingly ugly very
quickly.

I think implying that negligence or ineptitude is the sole and
dominating factor in a friendly fire incident is pretty classless,
no matter who did it. I'd like to reserve judgement until after
the facts come out.
