Title: Incendiaries?

Hi All,

Given that the majority of bombs dropped by the various airforces where actually Incendiaries rather than HE, will we ever get them in AH? It would be a lot simpler to drop a good stick of incendiaries and simply let the town burn down than have to go through the tedious process of blowing up all of them one by one.

Hey, if we can have planes catch fire and burn till the affected component is destroyed, why not buildings?

The incendiary bombs dropped by BC were mostly very small. By themselves, they weren't much of a threat. They were dropped in combination with huge blast bombs which would rip the roofs from buildings, opening them up for the incendiaries. The bombs also crushed water mains so the fire brigade had nothing to work with.

Quite so, hence the 4000 Lbs cookie with incendiaries combo that was so popular with Bomber Command. The Germans also mixed up their combinations from what I understand.

My understanding though was that since Japanese cities were so highly combustible, US bombers could get away with just dropping incendiaries in most cases.

In any event, is there no possibility of anything except HE ord in AH? No parafrags, incendiaries, AP bombs, delay fuses? etc.?
