I hereby declare Tempest Tour 2005 a rousing success.  Up next?  Something completely different.

Noticed ya landin a ton o' kills in it, wtg

question ? Do you stick to a B&Z style fighting in it,,,and what alt do you like to fly it

Do u feel confident with it in a scissors fight, or do you try to avoid that sort of ACM with it?

That would be a shock to the system after tooling around at 380mph all the time.  I'm thinking of taking up Howitzer's fighter challenge.

I mostly flew it with a mix of very aggressive BnZ and angles fighting.  I fought just about every alt from the deck to maybe 12-15k.

I didn't avoid scissoring, but that's not something the Tempest does extraordinarily well.  It's a great angles fighter, but despite the fact that it rolls substantially better than the Typhoon, it lacks the kind of snappy roll rate and wimpy torque that benefits other planes in scissoring fights.  For the most part, I didn't scissors in it unless I had to or got bored and wanted to mix it up.

Oh man, the tempest is a freakin dream of a plane.  Has more power, manueverability, and firepower than a tiffie.... what more can you ask?  Its almost like folks don't expect you to turn and fight with it.  I've gotten a majority of my kills coming from a head-on merge where I'll pull a high left yo-yo and beat the guy around in a flat turn he started too late because:  1.  he went for the HO shot.  2. because I guess he just expected me to turn tail and run, and when he saw me coming back around, panicked and tried to turn out of the way.

Serious, serious fun  =)

I have fallen in love with it.....

Nice sense of fear knowing that, once they get the TEMP icon, the whole world wants to kill you.

Nice sense of confidence that you can disengage (read, RUN) when you have to.

Nice sense of confidence that you have awesome Hispanos that kill quickly.

Nice sense of fear that each flight can cost 50 perks.

Start high, kill, run low.

Watch for the Mach .9 diving spits.   :D
