Hey, just wanted to tell you guys that last night was my first try at Squad Ops, and I had a BLAST!
Thanks to the 325th Checkertails for inviting me, and to everyone else that helps put Squad Ops on.

I'm very glad you enjoyed it Grits. I'm also very glad you weren't beat up by the dot bug that was wrecking a lot of people's fun.

We use that map a lot in the CT and we're unfortunately very familiar with it over there. Its easy to avoid, if you go directly to the arena with that map, there is no problem, but you cant go to any other arena and then enter that map. Its not a huge hassle if you know about it ahead of time, but if you dont know about it, it can be very confusing.
I saw that you are going to change the map, but as long as everyone knows not to come from another arena first, you can still use it.
-
I rather like the Fin/Rus map. Could we not just tell everyone to just go directly to that arena and not exit once there???
-
Thanks SikBoy for being there!!! LOL
I swear I did not know !
:rofl

I am trying to get the ~Hells Angels~ from MA to give it ago in FSO. I think they will like it.

If you want to have a few pilots fly as guests, i know that many squads have room.
If you want to fly with Shillelagh, let me know. We're Ruskies this month.

By all means! We need more targets to shoot at! ;)

lol Wind. I know I was glad I was not the Setup CM for Friday night. What a pain it must have been to deal with all that.
Sik!
Great Stream, hope you can get em to join. I think we could add quite a few suqads from the MA if they just knew about Squad Ops. We pretty much grow by word of mouth only.
Grits it makes my day when guys like you post as you did.
Thanks!

Glad to have you Grits. I have been flying FSO for over 2 years now. Even when I take a "break" from the MA for a month or so, I still fly SEA (Special Events Arena). You'll grow to love it!
-
I flew all 3 frames for the last one (my first ever FSO) and I am HOOKED. I love it, well and who would not? Especially when the mission planners and all the leadership involved do a top notch job :aok
-
Its a nice change, because I'm genereally a "mindless furballer". It is really cool to do something completely different than I usually do. I found it hard to resist the urge to follow badguys to the deck, I had to keep telling myself "stay on mission....stay on mission". It was great fun.

And then two seconds later your formation got wiped out by a strange formation of aircraft lead by a guy with a black mask and respiratory problems? Or was that a different movie. Seems familiar.
:D
-
Actually it was broken up by a bunch of guys wearing leather thongs, donno about the respiratory problems. :)

I heard some heavy breathing over vox. It only seemed to happen while Grits was "forming up" on my six.
