Title: Sin City
Post by: Mighty1 on April 04, 2005, 07:48:38 AM
More like Pulp Fiction part II.

I sat down to watch it with my wife yesterday and when I saw that Quentin Tarantino was the involved I knew it was going to suck.

The only good thing about the movie was all the boobies running around.

I give it two thumbs down and a smack in the head to Quentin Tarantino mother.

It was made by Rodriguez, the guy who made From Dusk til Dawn.

The credits at the beginning said Tarantino was the "Special Guest Director"

If "Dusk til Dawn" & "Tarentino" are somewhat related to that movie, I'm running out to see it!

I havn't read the details on Sin City. Didn't know that Tarentino was involved. Now, I'll have to see it.

It seems that there are just two camps. One loves his movies, the other absolutely hates them.

Tarentino directed one scene in the movie for $1.00, according to an interview with him.

Just saw it last night... It had some really good parts, it had some really "uncomfortable" parts.

Really cool to watch because of the style... sometimes hard to watch because of the subject matter. Most of the couples who were over 50 walked out halfway through.

I'm in the "love Tarantino" camp, btw.

I personally think that Rodriguez is a ****ed up genius.  But no one really knows much about him.  Even that Tarentino's style is hugely ripped off of him.

I'd be willing to bet that they had Tarentino in just to garner up a little more interest.

Pulp Fiction is QT's masterpiece.  He definitely has a distinctive point of view.

Reservoir Dog's was his best and only good movie...

why would a 50 year old be shocked or uncomfortable by something that a kid wasn't?   Unless it was just crap...

I think I like Reservoir Dogs the least of any of his movies. Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill were both excellent. I didn't really like Jackie Brown the first time I saw it, but after another viewing, I really began to appreciate it.

The rest of the stuff that he's involved with is okay, but I like QT best when he's both the writer and the director. Still... From Dusk til Dawn is fun and Natural Born Killers is just hilarious.

I agree with Sandman.  I like Reservoir Dogs the least.

You may not like his style, but you can't deny his talent.

I would not belittle true creativity by calling what he has, "talent".
