Engine Feathering/prop feathering are synonymous.  Instead of the prop "windmilling"  that is spinning like a childs toy, the prop is "feathered".  By turning the pitch of the prop to "0", it reduces the anount of drag on the aircraft.  This then increases either glide distance or single engine distance, whichever applies.

Thanks guys

So I assume that If I reduce my RPM when my engine dies I reduce my drag right?

And whats the dot command for the prop blessing, Maybe I can stay up longer :)

NAVCAD has it right.  All most all multiengine aircraft with a controlable pitch prop had the ability to reduce the pitch on the prop to Zero.

You got it.  You reduce the RPM by hitting the "-" key on the numberpad, and you increase it back by hitting the "+" on the numberpad.  These are the default keys, so if you changed them at some time, you'll have to look up what you changed them to.  You will also need to use these functions if you use the "E6B" to determine the max cruise speed in order to save gas.  If you don't know where that is, open your clipboard during flight, and choose "E6B".  It will show you everything you need to know.

Hope this helps ya.

does ah have the drag effects of cowl flaps modeled?

I dont think so. Since this isnt somthing you can adjust in the game. I wish it was. Some aircraft perform vastly diffrent with them open as opposed to closed.

ya its a quite noteworthy part of the flight model, im not saying we should get the abuility to control the cowel flaps but this and feathering are something that need to be addressed, weather they are manual or automatic or toggleable.

I'm guessing that when an engine and prop totally seizes, there is minimal drag modelled in AH and "reducing rpm" (on an already seized prop) will not further reduce drag.

I know that whenever a prop is spinning, AH models drag, so you will get minimal drag by reducing rpm.

What do you mean by "prop blessing"?

NO
No No No No

Stop it!   Prop blessing violates the division of church and state.

??? If your prop left your aircraft flew out about 20 feet and started to drop would that be "Prop Arc"???

OK
Here we go!!!!!

If you're pulling a prop behind your car on a rope, is that "Prop Drag"???
