Title: Leaning out windows?

I was wondering if anyone has thought of this. Maybe opening the canopy. And leaning out while taxiing or maybe landing that way. I hope a dev reads this.

I see it now...leaning out the window - then the head gets taken off by a lanc on short final.

I don't think that little windshield will stop a .45 shell anyway though :rolleyes:

i have played a few sims that when your gear is out the canopy is open, makes for easier runway taxiing for sure.

For landing & taking-off from carriers, it was procedure to open the canopy for a quick escape, might you accidently ditch in sea.

In CMFS II (pacific theatre) the canopy would open by pressing control + o

I believe this isn't mapped yet?

No they have not mapped it yet. I think it would add some more depth to the game if they did.

Hey pulling the canopy open before jumping out would deffinatly change the game.

I also asked for this feature back when we got the oil streaked windshields.

Still a good idea.

Would be very helpful in the F4u's to be able to get a better view of the carrier.
