Im calling dibbs on a few 190s when the new models come out.
190A5:
I./JG54 "Black 2"

well 3 of them are already in the game i was almost done with 2 of em and was starting on 1 when skuzzy said that all the 190 skins will be droped when the new models come out. just thought id call dibbs so i can redo the ones that i was already workin on

I'm gonna do 2 Doras: one of those JV44s with the red/white belly stripes, and a really clapped-out one flown by Rudel after he gave up on Stukas.

yea those are the best doras cant wait to see it. I tryed doing one about a month ago and lucked out.

Too many JG54s, if you ask me. I guess if the new models come out, I'd better start on the "Historic 190s Project" update.
HT and co. did mention a rotation of skins, but personally, I think balancing off the skins in the first place to a nice time table, so it could represent all of the famous 190s during the period between '41~'45, which served at a variety of fronts in variety of JGs, could be a better idea, instead of skinning just every pretty looking 190 or certain groups of 190s from just one very famous JG. The list quickly grows thick, and we'd have to wait for months until we ever see a certain 190 of a certain timeline.
If there was one thing I didn't like about the P-51Ds, it was that only certain P-51s of certain groups were heavily portrayed, because their skinners wanted to do the 'pretty' and 'famous' ones first. All of the 15 slots quickly filled up, and thus, if I want to select a certain P-51 which I think might be appropriate to a certain timeline in scenarios and stuff, it's not there. Have to wait for a skin rotation to see that.

I was about 30~40% done with it, and working on 190F-8s, when I got the hint that the 190s would be remodelled very soon, so the project came to a halt.

yea i like doing JG54 skins cuz as you can see im in JG54 so i make em for squadies to fly em.

i cant wait till they come out i got about 5-6 F8s i wanna do but "white 1" is going to be my main one. two of my squadies asked my do make it like 3-4 months ago after they visited the place where the restoration of white 1 is in FL.

the red white stripe is "Red 1"

Actually, myself as well as the rest of the skinners in the skinning team have already finished up 15 skins per bird....
so it looks like no 190s will be available to skin....

"Red-1" is the one in the middle you posted there JB. It translates roughly to "Sell my clothes, I'm going to heaven". Looks like there might be a race for one of the JV44 planes, at least I have a head start...

if you are being serious, who are these "skinning team" people, and why are they allowed to make skins before the rest of the AH population?
also, what is the point of having "community made skins" if the "community" is kept out of the loop and not allowed to make skins?

I've got 3 Dora skins ready to tweak to the new format. I did JV44 Red 3 "By Order of the Reichsbahn" back during the AH2 beta. I've also got one which seems to have been put together out of spare parts and wreckage; the upper wing only has 1 camo color applied, the rest being just primer. I'd post pics but they of course have swastikas for me to look at, so you'll just have to wait for the gay versions in the game.

Templet mostly done jsut gatta rivet the wings. Body almost done gatta add some weathering and minor changes. what yall think so far.
