Hi guys,
I'm looking for art for my house, and I found some pretty cool sculptures:

This person also does those 3d crystal blocks with lights under them, but unlike the ones you see at the malls, these are based on mathematical patterns, not a relief of Dale Earnhardt with a halo over it.

correct me if i am wrong, but i believe that the original molds are created by way of creating wax buildups layer by layer on a wax printer. (like stacking sheets of paper) it allows sculptures to create things that they never would have dreamed of before.
pretty awesome stuff. when i was at ASU they had a thing called PRISM which was dealing with rapid prototyping.

Nope, this technique sinters layers of metal directly to each other to build it. No molds involved. Pretty darn neat.
