Title: Some ??? about C-47

When I fly the C-47, the hangar menu sais it will score the mission as "bombing".

I'm just wondering why I have no points listed under "bombing" after successfully flying 2 sorties delivering supplies to a base ...

I land at the target base, stop on the runway, open the doors, let out the cargo, and wait for the chute to go away.  Then I .ef

I'm told that this is how one resupplies a base ...

 :)  I know jack because I haven't even played the game yet.... but maybe you have to RTB to get the points? That's how it works in most sims I've flown.

No, your doing it right, you just get very minimal points for resupply. Waiting a cew seconds to make sure thy are delivered might not hurt, I do :D

If something's burning at the field, I've always gotten the points. Generally, I find m3s to be more pleasant when resupplying, but when I've done it in a goon I always drop the cargo from the air.

The only time you wouldn't get points is if you either missed your drop completely, didn't give it the 3 seconds it needs to count the supplies as dropped, or (more likely) the base repaired itself by the time you arrived.

The points you get for resupplying are counted as bomber points but there is no real bomber catagory for listing the results you get. Your procedure is ok and you don't need to rtb to your takeoff field. Definately wait for the supply package to 'explode' before you exit. A burning field will usually need them but the only real way to confirm you did anything is in the Hanger. Go there and see if you received any points for your last sortie.

OK, so it's *perk* points, not "points" in the .score screen under "Bomber"?

Demman,

Yes its perks.   Look under bomber perks and see how many you got for the resupply mission.       Your doing correct just to let you know.   You can land the C47 or drop from the air with your supplies.       I sometimes use the M3 or LVT to resupply bases as well.    LVT only after we have captured a base that is porked and needs supplies.    Select it from the CV hangar.
