yes this chase was actually 4 mins 11 secs. i had to cut a big part of it out cause he was flying in circles with the damn thing....

notice the drop tank is still on! what a goof!

This is what happened, when I first saw the Goon I ordered him to land, gave a few warning shots but then he escaped. :o

That's damn funny.  Another good choice of music would have been that theme from Benny Hill when they're all chasing each other around in fast-motion.

Great film. The C47 is highly underrated in AH. I flew one once as a FAC not to long ago. Back in AH1 me and some army and airforce buddys that were at Bragg and Pope put together a goon squad for the rooks. I cant count the times I out flew emy airplanes. Thing is so damn slow you can force over shoots almost all day long. I will have to look up that FAC C47 film. I flew for about 20 mins spoting tanks in a hot area with plenty of amy airpower to keep me on my toes. Landed one tank proxy out of the deal.

LOL..very cool film.  Music definitely fit the silliness of the chase.  How embarassing for BBQ, lol.  Had a similar chase with b-24's the other night, but at least I was manuevering to avoid return fire

I once chased a niki in circles in my C47 untill he ran out of fuel. musta been at least 8 mins :)


best thing ever though was a 190 that couldnt out turn my AR234s. in the end i let him close in then pulled out of the turn and hosed him with the fixed rear gun :)


also one of my squaddies once had a flight of three goons and all of them were chsing this poor lone fighter round and round and round.



dont feel bad bob, gotta laugh.   next time HO em.

No, not wierd, more like smart in conservatory. He figured he might as well not waste cannon rounds on a gunless, harmless enemy.

well when im attacking a goon, Ill use about 15-10 cannon rounds, on one of the wings. That takes them down most of the time.
