Matrix games (http://www.matrixgames.com) has totally redone Steel Panthers, the classic SSI tactical TB game of WWII ground combat. With SSI's consent, Matrix games took the SPIII engine and returned it back to the 50yd hex range of SPI with many new features being added. And best of all, it's FREE!!! The entire game (which makes for one hell of a download - took me 3.5 hours on my DSL account).

Neat little game, but it seemed to take forever to play (HINT: turn Fast Artillery to ON !!!).
Reminds me why I quit playing those cardboard and hexgrid games, loved em, but took weeks to complete a game.
