Don Novello is the uncle of a girl I went to college with. I met him at her wedding. A really nice guy.

I think that's the idea behind selecting him.....a transitional pope.

I don't understand at what point he becomes "holy". No man can be holy, so that phrase (holy father) kinda rubs me the wrong way and always has.

He spent his whole life working up to this job. Dont fault him for being a slow achiever, even if he did have to take off his socks to count up to 16
