buddy wants to try AH. He knows less about 'puters than me, so being a dweeb-wanna-be myself, I offer to help him.
When he tries the install it runs, shows complete. Hits the run icon for AH2 and gives a white screen that he can't get around. (Well if he cant see, I can Vultch his arse!) He did the Dx 9, and video display settings. Tried the latest drivers for the vid card nvidia 4800 128ram, 512meg on mobo. (Mine runs GREAT by the way!)(I wanna get him in the air and shoot him down.) lol
Any thoughts appreciated. I tried an earlier ver and it was fine, so I really think he needs a real computer to play a MANS game.
Will trade what little perkies I get fer being on your kill board for info and tips.
:D
tahnsk (thats Minnesotan speak for Thank you very much!)

P.S. I thought I saw this addressed earlier, But not seeing it in search (mybad)

You do not want to use the latest NVidia drivers for that video card. Get the 61.77 drivers from the NVidia archive section of the downloads page.
If that does not solve the issue, email me the DXDIAG output and I;ll see what I can find.

I had the same this morning.
Last night I was messing with my video driver settings; trying to get a bit more speed.
Tried to run AH this morning and got exactly what you described.
Went through all thedriver settings; seting eveything back to default; and now it's fine.
I'm using Omega drivers on an Nvidea card.
