I dunno, would be funny to see what the arena population would look like if La7s were off the menu for a night.
I'm no Nostrodamus...I predict...lots of Spit9s? ;)

not spit 9's, cause they suck and they are perked. Prolly the LA7 guys would goto the D9, Pony, Typhoone or just quit...that would be my guess.

La-7's don't bother me.
If they run away I let em go as the KI-84 I am usually flying quickly falls behind.
If they stay to fight they usually die.
Its rare that I run into a good pilot flying an LA-7.

Its not that they shoot me down a lot. That I dont care about.
But it seems most of the bases I approach, its not one, nor two...but 5-10 La7s. Heck, Id almost sniffle to see a horde of n1ks!
For a plane that was rather rare in WW2, its certainly has a huge presence in this game :)

They've been perked for as long as I can recall, plus they suck.

Nuke, I think you mean the spit14, currently the Spit 1, 5 and 9 are unperked. and none of them suck. imo

Yea lgay7s can be annoying at times, because their fast, and can turn somewhat well. However, they are meat for my 38. One little burst of my 38 guns and the lgay7 goes down.

I gotta admit - I just dont run into them that much. But, I tend not to join the base hordes, and the La-7 makes the most sense as a point defense plane -- so maybe that's the reason.
Anyway, I find that when I do find them, jsut have to use my plane right and there isnt much problem. Break, let em come back, break -- and pounce on the low E dweebs trying to turnfight in a dragster!!
I guess I'm more vulnerable to the slow and turning Nik scourge with my flight style....

Spit IX doesn't even make the top 5 anymore, the la7 has almost double the kills. The Spit V is a better plane for the MA , if they would migrate to spits at all it would be to the spit V.
I predict most would go to the d9 or tiffie.

SpitV is a lil slow for the MA. Way too easy to fight in the vertical. Turning isn`t everything.

I flew one LA7 sortie this month... The base was being heavily vulched... Got 4 kills then landed, it was too easy, i too, felt dirty.

Ren i wasn't advocating the spit V for the la7, but rather the spit V for the spit IX. At MA alts the spit V out classess the spit IX, at sea level the spit V has +16 boost, the spit IX only +15. The spit V is only a couple of mph slower than the spit IX on the deck, increasing to 7mph slower at 10k. It wouldn't surprise me if the Spit V has better acceleration than the spit IX- I've no idea if that has been tested in AHII.
As i said before, i can't imagine la7 pilots switching to any spit. They would probably devide themselves up into the other late '44 fighters.

Rgr Thrilla. I don't agree with your assessment of the spits but we all have opinions. :)
Here's an idea. Use the CT but only allow one planeset per week. Like beginning Monday only LA7's can be flown for the whole week. The following Monday only Ponys. The following week only Jugs. :rolleyes:
Not much running but lotsa folks using their skills to defeat each other.

If HT decides for a jolly to make the La-7 unavailable from 6pm central to midnight (6 hours), there would be so many posts here about everyone quitting it would be like clubbing baby seals

You underestimate the La7's turnfighting ability, as do 90% of the MA. I thank you, please, countinue harboring this.

la7 is a tasty plane.
people fear it thats why they flame it.
Having said that, it does have its weaknesses and thats usually the pilot ;)

Assuming they disengage and run crying because they cant kill you, they'll be out of the fight alot longer than if you just try to kill them.
Now, the ones that DON'T just go away after a messed up merge, those are the interesting ones...:eek:
