imagine if the bailed out pilot could walk up on to the enemy field, and if he isnt shot, he can either steal an M3 with no loadout from the VH, or he can get into a hanger and steal a default plane, say the IL2, from large fields of course you could add a fighter, say a 109F and  Tigers with only a few MG rounds spare and randomized fuel load.


this gives him a slim chance of rtb'ing even if bailed out.

it also would be very interesting to see if people start deffending their bases with pistols and M8s. Pistol fights around airbases are very possible, just need a few more mappable controls to speed things up.


to have the ability to take 10 real people in your M3, and each one has to .ef in the map room entrance for a capture.



a stolen/vehical plane would imediately be visible as a red icon in the normal way.

come on, now that would be fun

I agree with Mech on this. Being able to steal a plane would be a great alternative to being captured on the enemy base if you had to bail or ran out of fuel. The alternative to taking a base with 10 ppl in an M3 is also good and I wouldnt mind seeing this implemented.

i kinda like this. i wish people could run a lil faster though. i took out a tiger that was hiding in a fighter hanger the other day on foot. they had our vh down and manned ack down, so i hopped in a fighter, bailed in the hanger, walked up, and shot him through the drivers slit injuring, and eventually killin him. seein some actauly foot soldier combat would be interesting.

stupid idea. Even if ack is down, airfields still have hundreds of personnel, including ARMED GUARDS that would shoot you on sight or send you to a prison camp.

If you're behind enemy lines (INCLUDING over an enemy field) you're dead or captured. Period. I think it's pretty damn good the way it is.

Would seem the exciting part would be to actually drive the M3.  Hiding in the woods waiting would be a hoot for the 10 guys in the back.:p
