I havent started a whole lot of weathering yet, but need yall's opinion on something.

i think you should keep it as it is.its looking great.

Raptor  how  did you get rid of the bomb markings  from flakbait what ever i tried  it always  showed  where  they had been stick out like  a sore thumb.

PLs Pls pls tell me then i might have ago at my b26s  again

color them all the same color, something your not going to use anywhere else on the skin. I usually do a pink.

then after you save it as an 8 bmp file, find the index number of that shade of pink.

now open up notepad and type the index number, then save it as b26wings_a.txt and it will make everything that color transparent.

the noseart "flak bait" is a file called logo.bmp. With this I just save the logo.bmp file in my b26 skin folder and then color it all black, save as greyscale image and save the greyscale as "logo_a.bmp" and everything black becomes transparent.

I always wondered - how do you find the index number of that shade of pink?  It is x'ff00ff' isn't it?

i just get the dropper tool and it says what it is.

from what I understand, before d-day it didnt have them, it had them painted on then it had them painted over

I say without. Keep in mind one person building a model is not historic proof (lol). While that model may look great, it is just one person's depiction of a plane.

As for AH screenshots, I think it looks better without them. They look too phony (if you know what I mean? Like you're trying to make them transparent)

ok i did what you said  with the ppink opend  a file like you said type in 120 for the index but all i get is pink panels on the damn skin  i  cant get it transparent.do you just type the index number in the txt file ?
is there something else?i must be dong it wrong i know but i am buggered if i know where

Rogerdee, make sure all of the pink is the exact same, it may look the same but there could be a slight difference. Also the index number may change if you change part of the file, so you need to check the # every time you get ready to look at it in skin viewer or in game.

Did you save the .txt as b26wings_a.txt?

es i did save it at that and i made sure the index is right and  it wont work for me  damn annoying
