Any one out there using i tunes have a problem with it not being able to rip CD's ?

When I try to play or rip a CD, all I get is a clicking backround noise.

I have been using Windows Media to rip mp3's then have to import them and convert to AAC.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

I have windows XP home.

Thanks

I have no problems with music I have purchased of I-Tunes.

It is prob the easiest online music service I have used.  My wife has an I pod that she uses quite a bit and she likes the way that I-Tunes works.

My prob is with the CD playing and riping.

http://www.download.com/Free-CD-DA-Extractor/3000-2140_4-10327914.html

use this or..

goto download.com

click on rippers..

at the bottom of search results adjust selection to freeware; press update..

Sort selections by user rating...

Choose which one suits you....

Rip the files and then place in itunes directory..

Problem solved....

Note:  I have had problems also with Itunes when it comes to any activity in Itunes that accesses the cd player.. (i think shoddy programing on I/O) But everthing else on itunes works great..(good window dressing too..)
