I have a high resolution video of this explosion which for some reason always facinated me.

The short of it is, several thousand tons of ammonium percolate detonated after a fire was started by a worker using a torch. Everything within 1.5 miles of Henderson NV was vaporized with damage extending outward to 10 miles. Approx 1KT airburst equivlent.

Give it a read.
