Yeah it has become a trend it looks like. We were talking about this tonight. I would like to see the numbers of who all is from where. I think that would be great. I am pretty sure GA would rank up there with Texas for the most members per state. Like I said it would be neat to see the numbers. Maybe HTC can make us a graph or a pie chart, some thing.  lol.

I live in Connecticut about 1 1/2 hours from NYC. I know that there are quite a few players from Connecticut. I'm always in for a good drunkfest.

I haven't figured out how to edit yet, I meant to add this onto the last one.  There's a place called the 56th Fighter Group at Farmingdale Airport on Long Island.   Good food, nice bar, and some WWII planes right there (might be replicas though).  Some T-6's on the ramp nearby too (those are real).

I'm in Bridgeport, Ct. so anyplace in NY city would be close.
On June 3, 4,  and 5th we will be having the corsairs over Ct. get together. 9 of the F4U Corsairs will be coming home to Sikorsky Memorial Airport where they were built during WWII. The web page for it is http://www.veteranssalute.org . They are supposed to be getting a few other WWII aircraft as well. If anyone wants to get together for this I am game for it.

P.S. Some of the WWII aces will be there also along with pilots from the Black Sheep squadron.

I live in In Terryville, Long Island, just south of Port Jefferson.

My wife and I visit the 56th FG restaurant about twice a year. I agree that it would be a good choice. Those living in New England can grab the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson ferry. The restaurant is about 40 minutes from the ferry landing.

Those coming from NYC or New Jersey, getting there is extremely direct. LIE east to Rte 110 south, watch for sign after you pass Conklin Street. Entrance is on the left (or east) side of Rte 110.

My regards,

Widewing

Sussex air show would be cool 3rd week of august, but no accomidations or bars nearby.

But I do have an Idea. and its a no brainer.

THE INTREPID......

We can use that as meeting point and desober from there.
