once i ahve all my panel lines complete, i will save the alyered template in case anyone is interested.
it will have no rivets (thos see to be a personal taste). and all the lines / details are comming straight from the book i have "walk around number 10" from squadron/signal publications

But i do wanna know something is there anyway to have it better quality?
-
JB73 that's one of the errors with this particular airframe. there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Skys shows just exactly what it will do if you try to run the seam of the canopy line. It shifts everything up and back. I've tried to get around it but there's no possible way that I can find. You basically have to cut your vertical panel lines short and totally forget about placing a horizontal line along the canopy seam area.

Cobra is there anyway i can make my skin look better well i have 1024 text with hi res pack but im talkin about after u save as 256 bmp.

That is one of the bugs I found, the other is that the underside of the fuse (for and aft) has severe stretching. For most skins where the colors are fairly uniform it should not pose a problem but anything below the centerline of the wings (like the circle you have there JB) will be warped horribly.

you'd be suprised really, it's not terrible, and with the right opacity, i think it will look ok LMAO

Cool!
Did you see what the stretching did to the white stripes on the early RED-1 versions?
-
nope
i have never attempted a skin before.
just an fyi on that "circle
the streching is 6 pixels to 24 near the tail, and 11 to 24 forward LMAO
it was fun doing the math to get the right curvature. ill post a shot of it tonight

JB: Easy solution for your phantom canopy line:
The problem is the same part of the map is being used for 2 areas on 2 shapes. They just happen to be next to each other (the canopy and the fuselage). The wrapping is slightly off. So literally just move the line UP one pixel about halfway back along its length (make it look smooth though) and you should get it past the part where it maps onto the fuselage but it'll still show up on the canopy. That will eliminate the extra line showing up.

cc thanks i think i can see where the point is, i'll find out tonight when i get home
at least i can see what it is doing now, last night i think it was just mental block working on it so long LOL
i plan on getting the lines finished and some basic color layers done tonight so i can post some screenies
