33 Years ago tomorrow, Over Route Pack VI. It was tough couple of days, that ultimatley would produce the first aces of the war, and eventually bring the North Vietnamese to Peace table.

Makes you wonder though.
Do you think had there not been all those BS rules of engagement, and we went after what mattered, Rolling Thunder and Earlier Operations might have prevented the 68 Tet Offensive, and possibly ended US involvement in the late 60's?
Hard to tell.

Nice stuff, thanks.
Yes, I believe in my heart that if the USAF had been allowed to do their job as they knew how to do it, things may have proceeded very differently. However, its also true something more akin to Korea may have been the eventual result.
One of my biggest regrets about how things played out in the final years at Air Warrior was the failure of EA to complete the Air Warrior: Viet Nam project. I was SO looking forward to that game.
I wonder if HTC would ever consider adding a "smokers" module to their package? :)

Check out Strike Fighters, I was helping out at TW with Target:Hanoi, but it seems that TH is on permanent hold, Damn Shame, I did a lot of 2D work for Verm too.
I bought SFP1, and with Service Patch 3, its just as good if not better than Wings Over Vietnam, (Sequel to Strike Fighters), Its basically Janes Fighters Anthology with great graphics, mods are plentifull, And it allows me to fly my precious A-6. Drawback is, online play is almost non existant, Thats why I was so excited about T:H:(

What happened to T:H?
I've been poking my nose over at the T:R forum too - sounds like v0.65 might be worth checking into when it comes out.
I tried T:R about a year or so ago but ended up confused as to what was going on - finding others online, controlling my a/c, etc.
AH really has it beat for ease to 'jump in and fly' but I'm really tiring of seeing little beyond Spits, LA7s, N1Ks and Typhs.

Lack of determination, Verm Stepped down, the Auton said he could not continue.I dont blame them, there was a lot of things that needed to be solved, there was a bug in the way TW modeled High Speed Flight. Then there was the lack of essential systems needed for 60's era jet aircraft.
Although, we were looking for an intial release including the A-1 Skyraider, A-4C Skyhawk and the MiG-17, No Missiles, No Radar, But that never happened either. Hopefully it will pick up again.
Any way, to Driscoll and Cunningham, and Chuck Debellvue amd Steve Ritchie. And all that braved the Flak, Missiles and Fighters, and to those who never returned home.

Yep and my F-100 model kept going tits up on me due to me not being able to commit a huge amount of time to finishing the job.
I was looking forward to the T:H project finishing up though. Hopefully it will restart where it left off with better support from the TW side.

Hey Reschke!
Yeah it sucks, I'm sure it will pick up again.

Rgr all. The thing is, in my case its all about the human element, I just can't seem to "get it up" about flying with AI.
Is that the same Verm I knew from Air Warrior? Chris Arrington?

Same here. I remember when Falcon came out, had a computer direct connected (serial cable I think) to my brother's.....head to head. Nothing was more exciting than that even back then.
I think AW was around about that time too, but was just some squares and dots on a screen....yet mulitplayer. That's the element that is it for me, human competition.

That would be the one and the same that plays this game as well. I don't know if he still plays AH but he was here and that is where I knew him from.

Cool, great guy. He was instrumental in helping me put together the first side-switch scenario (AW3, Pearl Harbor 1999) back when the "old school" said it couldn't be done.
I know he's pretty close friends with Whels, too. Where the hell is he? Get his bellybutton in here! :)
