Hmmm, that's a tough one. Both are gawd awful, but at least you could understand most of the lyrics with disco.

never thought there would be music that could make disco look ok... hip hop and rap are so bad tho that how could I have imagined?

I'll listen to disco anyday over that hip hop crap.  Sounds like wannabe singers who suck so bad they cover it up with some music/noise a two year old made.

as for the reincarnation of disco... well it will probably never go away like disco. it is associated with the black culture, and you knwo there can never be backlash against a race. heck even me mentioning it here might cause a riot somewhere.

think about it though. treating hippity hoppy music like disco. burning the cd's, all that... it would be portrayed in the media as a KKK thing or something.

The way I understand it Disco was slowly , but surely taken down by a secret CIA operation known as Operatiion Travolta.
  After billions in research and study of the craze known as disco it was discovered that it was costing the U.S. millions of tax payers dollars per year in medical costs. The disco participants were entering the emergency rooms across the country at an alarming rate with mostly ankle injuries. These injuries were being obtained due to falling off the 4 to 6 inch heels of disco shoes as people were entranced in the satanic beat of disco music. There was also a high percentage of silk allergies being incurred.
  The total facts of this Op will never be known until which times the documents concerning this will be declassified and made public.

Hip-Hop is not the reincarnation of Disco. Techno is. I lump together all the sub-genres like break, trance, house, etc. Hell, most of my favorite house songs are sampled from disco tracks.

Reason the disco-ers had the injuries cause they were ususally stoned and/or high and tried to dance :rofl
