Title: Havin Brain Farts, need help.....

Been having probs after the last great AH 2032 upgrade... decided to delete it all and redownload. Well that all went well... Now old age is the prob, I can't get a shortcut done right to save my arse, each time I click on Aces High 2032 and try to create a shortcut all I get is the frikken install wizard... Need help from anyone, pls.

open windows explorer, find C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II\aceshigh.exe (default path), right click on it and drag it to your desktop, menu, etc. After drop small menu will appear, click on "Create Shortcut". That's it...

all i do is rt click on the AH icon in the folder and select "send to desk top as shortcut.  (winXP)

When you click on Start/Programs/Whatever, you are clicking on a shortcut that works with a single click.  Just right-click on anything in Start/Programs and select Copy, then Paste to the desktop to give yourself a shortcut there.

EDIT:  Just read your post again and I see I misread it the first time.  If you are trying to make a shortcut on the desktop for an EXE file like AH2032.EXE, right-click it and select Send To (Desktop as Shortcut).

I right click on it and drag to desktop and it launches Winamp:rolleyes:

you guys are all barking up the wrong Brian fart i think.


Mac,

you are trying to create a shortcut to start Aces High from the instalation zipped file.

this AH2023 file is nothing but an instalation .exe



after you install Aces High through this AH2023 file, delete it, or hide it. you wont ever need it again, unless you plan to reinstall again before the next update.





Your Solution:

you need to go into START MENU/PROGRAMS/ACESHIGH2.   now on the 'ACESHIGH2' icon that you would use to start the game (the top one with the red/black logo)  RIGHT CLICK, look down the list and click CREATE SHORTCUT.

now this will create a duplicate in the same menu as the first one. simply click and drag this from the menu to the desktop and theres ya desktop shortcut.


i think thats what you meant anyhow.

You tried to make the shortcut to the wrong program.

As it has been mentioned you need aceshigh.exe NOT AH2032.exe
