Title: obscure LW quote by H.J. Simpson
Post by: Pongo on November 21, 2000, 01:37:00 PM
Casually watching the Simpsons on sunday. and Homer sayeth..

Homers TV had a scene of 3 Ju 87s diving to attack..
"Ah the Luftwaffe, the Washington Generals of the History Channel.."
I was not sure I heard him right..but I was sure it must be funny. So I did some research and found out that the Washington Generals are the team that always looses to the Globe trotters....
So the anology is quite funny....
Although it took me some time to find out why..

Words of wisdom from someone smarter than the average American.

You will all be the first up against the wall when the revolution comes.

And I am not talking about a shot to the back of the head. That comes later, when our Dobermanns have had their ways with you.

Pigdogs.

Its a bit subtle. Is Homer making a statement about the bias of the history channel or insutlting the LW...Maybe too subtle for the average Dane to pick up on.

Best Simpsons is when Homer sneaks into the retirement home.

Seeing an old man hooked up to a breathing machine he says:

"And here I am using my own lungs like a sucker"

I just realized I have that Simpsons LW quote on tape from last Sunday. Any suggestions on how to get it into a .wav file? If I can finger it out, I'll post it. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

If you have an audio out jack on your vcr and a line in plug on your soundcard, you'd just need an RCA-mic plug cable and you'd be set.
