Doesn't anyone watch hockey in North America?
Czechs, WTG and congratulations!
After semifinal Canadian figure-skaters... er, fist-fighters... er, did they play hockey?... deserved to be torn apart like that.
I only wonder - did they claim that it was them who really won and demand gold medals together with silver? :D
Last goal was a pure beauty playing 4 vs 6. And I liked the final fist-fight. :D Last time I saw something like that was on youth hockey championship 1988, when Soviet and Canadian (I may be mistaken) teams were disqualified for one year - they had to turn off the light and call the police to clam down the players.

That guy who started it (Smyth?) was ****ing hillarious. He kept hitting the defenceman on his skates for at least 10 secs before the goalie jumped in.
Yep, WTG Czechs! Allthough I would have liked Canada to break even in the 3'rd.

Are you sure that you are a Czech? ;)
It was World Hockey Championship.
It's even sadder because I wanted to ask what Czech hockey fans shout (at least they did back in the 80s), something like "do-to-go!"...

Not as important as World Cup of hockey or Olympic hockey, but still, good win.

Whelp, silver is better than bronze. Thus ends a wonderful period of time when Canada held the World Cup, World Championship, and Olympic gold. Oh well, we still have two out of three. But without an NHL season, I doubt we will keep them.

Sorry, guys, we don't share a Canadian tradition to doubt jury's decision and complain. In semifinal judge "played" in favour of Canadians, but Russian team didn't send an official complain.
Please notice that Russia was the only team that won over Czechs ;)

Canadians invented hockey, and it's Czech national sport, so, I suppose, Czechs invented lacrosse?

Do to ho! means ... Something like Go Go Go ... exact translation is "move inside" but it doesnt make sence :)
They often also shout " Kdo neskace neni Cech" ... whitch means Those who dont Jumb arent Czech.... thats why they are jumping all the time like an french frogs in 5 star hotel kitchen.
Well my passport say that im supposed to be a Czech :D

lacrosse is quite boring stuff
Nobody watch lacrosse in czech.
No.1 is football
No.2 is IceHockey
Then some Moto-sports
And then probably Tenis.
Voleyball, basketball and sutch things are pretty rare.

Not true, quite a few years ago Parliment decided to make hockey the national winter sport, and keep lacrosse as Canada's national summer sport.

I do, but it's usually the NHL that I watch but they had a strike and didnt play for Lord Stanley's Cup this year. :(

I know, that's why we had a very interesting hockey season here. For example - Jaromir Jagr plays for Avangard from Omsk. Hehe they lost to Dynamo, Moscow 11:0 in one of the play-off games :D

That's great that they beat the Czechs...what medal did they get?
