I love Shatners acting on Boston Legal. I think his take on this developement is amusing and commendable.

excerpt from article: "The isolation of Epiomnistic Shatnerism basically started with the recognition of a variant form of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), which generally shows itself in the form of delusions of power and self-importance," explained James Alexander to Raymond Reith of The Lancet.
"We identified consistencies in that deviation and applied for a grant to extend the research. William Shatner was the epitome of the deviation—he virtually describes the syndrome, so that's how we named it."

A couple of people here could qualify as well for having "Shatnerism".

Your link doesn't work.
Hmmm... are they referring to William Shatner or James T. Kirk?

Actually in person Bill is a really nice guy. Easy going, good humored, but kinda hyper. He flew into the "Shatnerball" paintball game on a powered parachute, after he spent the weekend before racing formula cars. He goes hard for an old man.

From everything I've seen or read about Shatner, he seems like a hoot.

shatner brought shakespeare to primetime, he constantly reinvents and pokes fun at himself in doing so.
have you seen him in the brain cereal commericals, hilarious

William Shatner hasn't taken himself seriously in his life. He appeared at one Star wars convention and told the Trekies to
"Get A Life". Most of the time on the set of Star Trek it took several takes for a scene simply because Shatner was screwing around on the set.

Aww Sandman.... let him have his delusions.

Shatner just gets better with age. I love his Denny Crane character.
Ever seen his Rocket Man? Hilarious. Worth a repost.

Ahemm...and it was an SNL skit that took place at a Star TREK convention. Can't believe you missed that, Sandy, as anal as you are about details. ;)
