Title: Need Euro/Germany search help
Post by: Gunslinger on May 20, 2005, 08:21:36 PM
I'm really looking for help here.  My wife is trying to locate her father.  It's really important to her to find him.  What I need help with is some sites that specialize in European/Germany search information.

I have the guy's full name, Date of Birth, formor address, even a marriage cert.  I doubt Germany is the same as the states in this matter but I know in the states I could find this guy in a matter of minutes.

Does anyone have ANYTHING....links phone numbers....directories that might help me out?

Big thanks in advance.

actually I found somone with the same first two initials in Sprakensehl.  It's quite possible that he moved in the last 20 years.

You can forget the US Embassy in Berlin.  The German Embassy would maybe locate him and pass any info on.  Privacy laws in Germany are alot different then in the states.

If you have his last address you could check with the Ordungsamt (town records or sort of) they may have info, tho they may not be able to give it out.

What town was he last in?

Sorry not the Ordungsamt, but the Einwohnermeldeamt.
here is a link to Kaiserslautern's office.  You could call or write, but like I mentioned before they may not give out the info.

Is he German or American?
