I just finished doing pictorials for the four frames of the Battle of Britain scenario event. The best frame for pictures is:

The others can be accessed here:

For links to screen shots from all other scenarios I've been in, here's the link:

those are very nice, how did you get all the new affects in though?
-
Very nice :-)
-
Thanks, guys.
The new effects came through when I played the old film with the current film viewer.
There are still some bugs or inconsistencies in the film viewer, but as it is a lower priority item, I'm sure, for HTC, I'm must happy to have it at all.

Awesome Brooke, that must've been one fearsome fight! I'd love to lead those bombers in the MA someday :(
Thanks for sharing!

Nice job Brooke.
Thanks.
-
You are most welcome, guys.
Frank3, the main arena is fun, but you should come play in scenarios, too. It's a whole new level of fun, in my opinion.
-
Very nice Brooke! Made me feel like I was there (wish I coudl have been).

Thank, Westy.
Weekend frames are out for you in general? I haven't played in any AH scenarios that had weeday frames -- I suspect attendance on weekday frames would be a lot lower than weekend frames.
-
Hi Brooke. Yes. Unfortunately weekend frames have been out for me for quite some time. And that is all the AH CM team has offered the community these past couple of years. As a result AH's best aspect (special events) is essentially unavailable to me or anyone else who has weekend obligations.
I do agree that now any weekday frames would draw even less than those frames scheduled on weekends.
A few years ago when, IMO, there were a lot more people who played AH that were interested in WWII history and WWII aircombat it may not have been a problem. As I recall a lottery system had to be used and even then many players had to sign up for "reserve" status just hoping to get a ride. Now it's harder to draw participants from an MA player base whose main interested is milk running landgrab or fantasy melee' style gameplay.
Other offerings such as WWIIO and IL2 came along in the meantime and seems to have suited the the needs of those who wanted historically inclined environments.
Times change...
Anyway. I'm hoping that HTC is close to done with "AH:Tour of Duty" and that it is a real winner.

Sounds like it would be a good idea for scenarios once in a while to have weekday frames.
Attendance in general could, I think, be boosted by more promotion than what scenarios get right now. There are a lot of AH players who don't even know what a scenario is or how fun one is and more still who have never played in even one scenario. I think the way to help is for people who like scenarios to be advocates -- to tell others what scenarios are and how great they are.
I play WWIIOL. It's a lot more realistic than, say, Battlefield 1942. But in its aspect of WWII aviation, it's not really much more realistic or involving than the AH main arena. Overall, WWIIOL (although I like it on its own) is only a pale shadow compared to the substance of a scenario.
My feeling is that scenarios and scenario participation can grow to and beyond the level of activity we had in the late 90's in Air Warrior. But it will take advocates and some cooperation from HTC.

Well. I'm currently stalled with a "glass is half empty" mindset. I would love to see things turn around and aided by your enthusiasm Brooke perhaps they will.
BTW, I like your expanding scenario webpage. I also saved a lot of the old AW scenario info; the Cutthorats NG's and many other files. Even a lot of DoK's write ups before he took those pages down a few years ago. If you want I can pull them out and let you know more of what is there specifcally and/or even send a CDrom with the files your way.

Interesting. Can a zipped version fit in about 200 MB? If so, I've got an FTP site set up that you could upload it to. E-mail me (brooke at electraforge.com), and I'll send you login and password to get into it.

Brooke, Email on it's way....
